About Us
Established in 2003, initially to manage the exclusive archive of radio concert broadcasts and unique radio sessions produced over the years by the radio companies of Scottish Radio Holdings plc. River Records has been working in conjunction with artists, managers, publishing and record companies, securing clearances and agreements, in order that these very special recordings may be brought to the market place through licensing and digital distribution. In working with other independent producers the Company has also extensively added to the catalogue by the addition of many other contemporary and traditional audio recordings.
River Records, specialises in releases of ‘ In Concert ‘ type radio broadcasts and radio sessions featuring many major British Artists from the mid 1970’s through to the late 1990’s as well as vintage and heritage recordings from the company’s own tape archive, all of which have been restored and digitised using the latest studio software and restoration techniques by our sister company The MD Music Company Limited. Currently the catalogue is distributed by three of the world’s leading digital aggregators, Ingrooves, X5 Music Group, and State 51.
